Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols Returns to Campus

The campus will celebrate the Advent season on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Lessons and CarolsManhattan College’s Singers and Orchestra will hold their annual campus Christmas celebration, A Festival of Lessons and Carols, on Sunday, Dec. 4 in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers. The concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. with preludes starting at 4 p.m. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to everyone, including all students, faculty, staff, alumni and the local community. No tickets are required.

A Festival of Lessons and Carols is an hour-long celebration that combines popular Christmas carols and Advent hymns with Scripture readings and contemporary musical arrangements. The College Orchestra will also accompany selections of choral music by Mozart, Handel and Rutter.

Following the concert, there will be a reception on the fifth floor of the Kelly Commons for all in attendance.
