The Dr. Rodney Rodríguez Memorial Scholarship supports Manhattan University Spanish majors and minors who wish to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country. Established in memory of Dr. Rodríguez, who served for sixteen years as Chair of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages, the scholarship honors his dedication to Spanish language, culture, and literature.
Dr. Rodríguez created the semester-long Study Abroad program at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and helped expand additional opportunities across the Spanish-speaking world. Funds raised in his name will allow future generations of Jaspers to deepen their Spanish through study abroad and cultural immersion.
